The legacy of Paramparika began in 1986 in Coimbatore when Nanjundan Iyer started a catering unit on a small scale, without a brand name. He was renowned for his expertise in South Indian cuisine especially the humble rasam, with which he won many hearts in the city.
Paramparika’s second era spanned between 1995 - 2005 and saw a steady growth in the culinary industry. We set up a strong base in Coimbatore and the business was taken up by Nanjundan Iyer’s son, Shekar who revamped the business to ‘Sai Sabari Catering’ and added to the culinary legacy in his unique way.
The legacy was further heightened when Shekar’s son Sabari took up the business and brought in his modern ideas to the company after his MBA. The culinary company was segregated into two functional segments. Paramparika – exclusively for premium weddings and Sai Sabari Catering still continues to cater to small and medium ceremonies.
